Objective 

• To promote the cause of all-round, rational and economic developments in the field of oilseeds, oils and fats and derivatives such as oleochemicals, soaps, detergents, lubricants, toiletries and cosmetics.
• To promote the competence of those engaged in these fields of activity and to raise their professional status by conducting seminars, refresher courses, lectures, workshops, exhibitions etc.
• To promote the manufacture of equipment, machinery and processing units employed in relevant industries.
• To publish and circulate journals, books, new letters and other technical and economic literature related to its fields of activity.
• To assist in the standard specifications and laws pertaining to raw materials and finished products to the Bureau of Indian Standards.
• To exchange and disseminate the knowledge and information in relevant fields among the students at various academic institutions pursuing their degree in Oil Technology.
• To link with both national and international organizations having objects and activities similar to those of the association.
