Die eine Theorie besagt, dass eine Ausübung von Kampfsport tendenziell zu einer Steigerung der Aggressivität und Gewaltbereitschaft führt. Die Verfechter einer solchen Annahme gehen davon aus, dass Jugendliche Kampfsportler zu „Kampfmaschinen“ ausgebildet werden, die den Drang haben, die im education erlernten Techniken auch im Alltag auszuprobieren und unbegründet anzuwenden.
Wer regelmäßig und über einen längeren Zeitraum immer wieder lernt und übt, anderen mit gefährlichen Schlägen und Tritten Gewalt anzutun (selbst im Falle reiner Selbstverteidigung), kann schwerlich behaupten, sein Handwerk [...] diene der sozialen Erziehung zu friedlichen, gewaltfreien Menschen! (Wolters, 2013, S. 3)
Diese Theorie knüpft sich intensiv an die Paradoxie, die auf den ersten Blick entsteht, wenn Kampfsport, der selbst Gewalt beinhaltet, als gewaltpräventive Maßnahme eingesetzt werden soll.
